Town's U18s suffered last-minute heartbreak in their Suffolk Premier Cup quarter-final tie at a freezing Victory Road on Tuesday evening as Bostik League Premier Division Leiston came from behind to win 2-1. Idris El Mizouni's opener just before the break was cancelled out by Chris Henderson and Joe Jefford netted in stoppage time to secure the win for the home side.

Town’s U18s exited the FA Youth Cup at the fifth round stage following a 2-0 defeat to Blackpool at Portman Road. The visitors, who had knocked out Premier League West Ham and Southampton in previous rounds, went ahead through Rowan Roache on six and added a second via Owen Watkinson in the 23rd minute with Town having plenty of possession but without being able to find the net.

Jack Lankester netted twice, the first from the penalty spot, as Town’s U18s came from behind to beat Dagenham and Redbridge 2-1 in their fourth round FA Youth Cup tie at Portman Road. Elliott Bonds gave the Daggers an 11th minute lead but Lankester stepped up to net from the spot on 16 after he was fouled, then grabbed the winner with eight minutes remaining. They will play Blackpool at home in the fifth round.

Aaron Drinan scored his first goal for the Blues and Ben Morris two strikes from distance as Town’s U23s comfortably beat QPR 3-0 at a windy and rainy Playford Road. Drinan followed up a blocked Morris shot on 48, Morris doubled the lead in the 54th minute and then completed the scoring with the goal of the afternoon with 14 minutes remaining.
